Notre Mission & What we do 

Investing in the education, health and empowerment of a girl today means that she will have the tools to make smart choices that will better the lives of her children in the future.

Education prepares girls and women for an adult life of quality, dignity, equality, and financial independence.

ALB prepares future female leaders for their society to raise the status of all women. 

Educating females is the best way to accelerate equality in society for women and girls.

Confident, educated and healthy girls will be able to pursue higher education and job opportunities in the fields of their choice. 

They will be pillars of support for their home, parents and the community. 

Gender skewing in the community will recede over time. 

Importantly, it also ensures that the next generation gets far better parenting and therefore a better life. 

Our strategy at ALB will be three fold: 

1. Educating : 

Develop workshops to educate girls and women on biology and hygiene best practices, provide counseling sessions and distribute informative booklets.

2. Providing : 

Distribute sanitary products and build new toilet facilities for girls 

3. Engaging : 

Engage family members, schools and specialists to increase outreach

We hope to be able to: 

Decrease school drop out rate from girls, 

Decrease use of unhygienic alternatives, 

Increase access to affordable sanitary products, 

Increase number of toilet facilities, specifically with separation for girls, 

 Increase knowledge and awareness on hygiene,

 Decrease level of exclusion and feelings of shame and fear for girls.
